Stanford has a rich tradition of ethical divestment as an effective and non-violent strategy for social change. Recognizing our complicity in Israel's military occupation of Palestine, our campaign asks Stanford to adhere to its own principles in the Code of Conduct:
"to ensure we fulfill our legal and ethical obligations... to persons outside Stanford"
We are simply asking our university to be financially neutral: to stop investing in companies that profit from ongoing injustice in the occupation of Palestine. Our criteria selectively target multinational companies that violate international humanitarian law and human rights in the Occupied Palestine Territories and here in the United States.
